Columns for distillation are a prominent component of refineries in the oil and gas industry. The distillation process physically separates mixtures based on their volatiles in a boiling liquid mixture. At our facility, we design and manufacture both sieved tray columns and packed columns based on customer requirements. Sieved tray columns are commonly designed with bubble cap trays, valve trays, sieve trays, and other types. METALFAB is adept at creating intricate designs that meet client specifications and project requirements. Lower pressure drops are an advantage of packed columns, and this lowers plant power consumption. As a result, a combination of high-pressure trayed columns and low-pressure packed columns is commonly used.
